When those vibrations reach our ears, we can listen to various sounds. Frequency: Sounds are actually waves or vibrations which run through the air.If you’re new to the concept of the equalizer, it would be helpful to know what these basic terms mean, because you’re likely to come across them quite a bit. Those days are long gone, and now an equalizer is available pretty much everywhere – some headphones even come with an in-built equalizer. The human ear is capable of hearing sounds that lie between the frequency range of 20hz to 20,000hz.īack in the day, equalizers were actual physical consoles with gears and buttons that you would control in order to change certain frequencies. Put simply, an equalizer is a hardware or software filter through which you can either increase or decrease specific frequency ranges, resulting in enhanced sound quality. If you’re unsure of what an equalizer is and how it works, you’ve come to the right place. I've heard ANC is lacking, but it's not a priority for me.The use of equalizers isn’t just limited to devices like phones, tablets, laptops, desktops, and recording studios – even your cars and TVs may have an in-built equalizer. The Sony's seem a lot better, especially in the sound department, for basically the same price The pressure imbalance seems to affect everyone differently. The ANC gave me headaches but I don't know if that will be the same with anything else because that was my first experience with it. And not the kind you'd want but like the rumble for rumble's sake that messes everything else up. Sort of off topic but those are like all bass. And no matter what, they'll probably sound better than the MPOW H19 IPO I'm returning tomorrow. I'll be sure to EQ for some extra bass and play with the app. I usually use earbuds when outside plus the Ohio weather isn't that hot but thanks for mentioning the sweat thing Thanks a lot for the detailed reply! I feel better about leakage now, doesn't seem like a major issue based on what you said Tl:dr leakage isn't terrible, they sound great with the right configuration, and the noise cancelling isn't good. (Btw, my standards for good sound quality isn't very high, but I saw everyone else say the sound quality was good too)Īnd yes, I do reccomend them, the only major problem is configurating them.Īnother thing though, the noise cancelling isn't good, I can tell you more about that though if you want. They sound great imo if you have the right settings, but it can be a pain in the ass configuring it if you don't know what you're doing though. (This is mostly subjective though, you might prefer the default) And you can close the app and your setting will still be there, even if you turn your headphones off, or restart your phone, your settings will be the same when you connect the headphones, unless you change the settings or delete the app of course. So yeah, I highly recommend using the app to configure it, so it will sound good. It's passable, but again, it's not very good, and the bass is set to the lowest level by default, which is just really dumb. (the default sound) isn't very good imo for hiphop/rap. Like when I get back from my walk, my ears would be covered in sweat, it's pretty disgusting, but if you're not in a hot area, you should be fine of course. I go on walks while listening to music a lot and when it's hot outside, the ear cups get VERY sweaty. I still play it safe though by skipping when a song like shake 88 comes on. But yeah, I don't think the leakage is that bad, like if you're sitting next to someone while your music is quite loud, they might hear it a little bit, but I don't think it would be quite loud enough where they would be able to make out any of the lyrics. I don't really think it has that much leakage, I don't really play my music that loud though, and not really around other people so that's probably why.
